Dr. Gwendolyn Jeun, associate veterinarian, remembers her first doggie love as being her collie named Lassie. The next family pet was a sheltie adopted from the Humane Society and was the inspiration for her interest in canine behaviour. She always gravitated to being the caretaker for pets like guinea pigs, budgies, hamsters and even a red-eared slider turtle. During her university days, she rescued an abandoned cat from the student apartments and "Darwin" lived with her until the ripe old age of 18. Dr. Jeun adopted "Bailey" the beagle, after a rescue group brought her in to EAH for an exam. They went everywhere together, even for a road trip to the Yukon! Caring for animals has always been important to Dr. Jeun. She knows that being a lifelong learner is the best way to continue serving her patients and their families.

Dr. Godfrey is the founder of Emeryville Animal Hospital which opened its doors in 1993. I was raised on a farm in Prince Edward Island and through 4-H experience and tending to the many barn cats and farm animals, I desired to become a Veterinarian. i find wrestling with cats and dogs much more fun than large animals!
