Digital Radiographs (X-Rays)
Digital Radiology (x-rays) is a routine procedure that provides valuable information about a pet's health. It can be used a single diagnostic tools or in conjunction with other diagnostic tools to provide a list of possible causes for a pet's condition, identify the exact cause of a problem or rule out possible problems. At Emeryville Animal Hospital we use digital X-rays as opposed to traditional radiographic film. Digital X-rays enable us to manipulate the image in ways that can improve our ability to make a diagnosis. In addition these images can be saved as part of the patients computerized medical record and be sent by e-mail to a specialist for further evaluation or to the client for their own personal files.
